Give the reference a clear job.
Use the reference to show the bottle, then use the brief to explain the scene you want: a different surface, a more directional light or a new flower arrangement. State which product details are essential before asking for a creative change.
Gemini 3 Pro Image requires native generateContent or a configured Responses/chat conversion that requests image output. The generic /images/generations converter accepts Imagen models and rejects this Gemini ID. Confirm the Google image-capable route when opening Studio; the model name alone does not configure its response modalities.

Can I submit this model to a generic image-generation endpoint?
The native Gemini image converter restricts /images/generations to Imagen. Gemini 3 Pro Image needs generateContent or a configured Responses/chat route with image output enabled.
Does the connector define a universal reference count?
No per-model image-reference limit is established by the conversion code. Check the selected route and keep the reference set focused on your creative job.
